Our Vision

Our vision is to create a future where Black and allied youth embrace their potential, lead with resilience, and advocate for themselves and their communities.

The B.R.A.V.E. Approach

Delivered over the course of the school year, B.R.A.V.E. spaces are a combination of workshops, training sessions, and mentorship that create a holistic leadership development experience. Students take part in several B.R.A.V.E. Spaces delivered through the school year until the concepts are embraced by all. Our signature B.R.A.V.E. spaces include:

Creating B.R.A.V.E. Spaces

B.R.A.V.E. Student Union (BSU)

In this space, students will build connections and create community guidelines. Leadership exercises will explore the responsibility and privilege of being part of a B.R.A.V.E. school. The main outcome will be the election of B.R.A.V.E. Student Union (BSU) leaders, laying the foundation for the program’s future success. BSU leaders will connect B.R.A.V.E. with other school organizations and clubs, fostering a pipeline of future leaders.

B.R.A.V.E. Roots:

Uniquely equipped to support educators in bringing the mandated Black history curriculum to life, B.R.A.V.E. will help ensure February is a time of celebration, pride and unity. Participants will be encouraged to make meaningful connections between their identities, texts, current events, and lived experiences.

B.R.A.V.E. Pathways:

Navigating Career and High School Success

Centred around helping participants explore their unlimited potential, these sessions will support career and pathway conversations.
